Our Software Solutions

Building on a successful track record of delivering robust, easy-to-use and up-to-date analysis and design tools for concrete structures, ADAPT has become the leading provider of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete software. Our software solutions offer the widest selection of analysis methods, from Equivalent Frame Method to Finite Element Method, to a broad range of specialized applications including flat plate design, frame structures, SOG, MAT, and segmentally constructed bridges.

In 1983 the company released the first version of ADAPT-PT, its flagship product. Since then, ADAPT-PT has become the industry standard tool used to design millions of square feet of post-tensioned buildings. The result of over six years of research and development, in 2001 we launched the BUILDER suite, a fully integrated set of analysis and design applications for concrete design. The BUILDER suite is based on Modeler/3D, a graphically driven structural modeling tool using ADAPT's unique Component Technology. ADAPT customers are able to use one structural modeling system, Modeler/3D for a wide range of structural types, dramatically increasing productivity while also increasing consistency and improving the quality of their designs.

ADAPT-ABI, our flagship bridge design product, is recognized for its advanced capabilities in time-dependent analysis of segmentally constructed post and pre-stressed concrete frames. Featuring a comprehensive moving load generator and design capabilities based on popular bridge codes, it has been used to design hundreds of bridges around the world and is the software of choice for many government agencies in the US and abroad. ADAPT ABI/3D complements the popular ABI, our frame analysis program, by providing 3D frame and shell analysis capabilities.

Our Services

Since our founding, ADAPT has been known for more than our widely used software programs, namely our professional development and consulting services. Several thousand design engineers have already attended professional development courses delivered by ADAPT staff in all major cities of USA, Canada, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Often these ADAPT courses were the engineers' first exposure to the design of post-tensioned structures, ultimately leading to the successful introduction of post-tensioning into that region. Additionally, ADAPT's in depth, yet practical, publications have served as the principal source of design information for many consultants and engineers. In recognition of his outstanding technical leadership and remarkable contributions to the post-tensioning industry and Institute, lifetime membership in the Post-Tensioning Institute was conferred upon Dr. Bijan Aalami, Founder and Senior Principle of ADAPT. ADAPT remains committed to further educating and advancing the industry. Starting in January 2003, ADAPT began utilizing Internet conferencing capabilities to more effectively reach engineers worldwide in the comfort of their homes or offices.

In addition to our professional development services, ADAPT has acted as an effective resource to the post-tensioning community by providing project-specific consulting services to our software customers and other consultants. We are often called upon to consult on the design of special structures, bridges, and buildings, where the project's complexity demands an in-depth understanding of the structural concepts involved, experience in similar projects, and access to the latest design tools. Many of our new customers leverage ADAPT's consulting services to assist in the design of their first post-tensioned projects. ADAPT consultants deliver both industry and software expertise, allowing our customers to leverage ADAPT software's functionality and realize its full range of benefits, including increased productivity and accuracy, reduction in error, and better design quality.

Our Customer Base

With an impressive software customer base spread across over 70 countries and consulting customers in over 30, we are in a strong position to leverage their collective knowledge and experience base to continually improve our products and services. Through our intimate day-to-day support and consulting relationships, we uncover the inefficiencies of the industry and strive to develop solutions for them in the form of advanced software solutions and targeted consulting engagements. Our customers include a variety of leading engineering firms such as Walter P. Moore, Suncoast LLC Post-Tension, L.P., Parsons Brinkerhoff, and Walker Parking Consultants.

Our Commitment to Excellence and a Full-Service Partnership

Unlike other companies that focus merely on software development, ADAPT relies on its in depth industry experience to effectively solve our customers' most complex structural modeling, analysis and design problems. Over the years we have provided full-service software and support consulting services for some of the world's most notable and complex structures, for example the exhibition hall roof of Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA and the Aswan Cable Stayed bridge in Egypt for High Point Rendel, London, UK. We tailor every solution we deliver to our customers by including the right mix of software, software training, software operational support, professional training in concrete design, project-specific consulting and even the occasional jobsite visit to trouble shoot, if needed. Our commitment to excellence and ability to be a full-service partner in concrete design has earned us the loyalty of our customers large and small and a reputation as an industry innovator and leader.
